Wills

It is not obligatory by law to prepare a Will for yourself and it is an easy task to put off.  However, many problems can arise if you die without leaving a valid Will.  At Corlett Bolton & Co we aim to offer our clients a complete, integrated service whilst fully understanding their needs and wishes.

Power of Attorney

At Corlett Bolton & Co we can also provide advice and assistance on powers of attorney. A power of attorney allows someone to nominate “another person” or “other people” to act on their behalf. These are used in circumstances where a person will be unavailable at a crucial time, or in the event someone might lose mental capacity and be unable to manage their affairs in the future.

Estates

We can provide a wealth of experience on how to manage affairs after death.  Our longstanding probate service can offer you advice and assistance for all aspects of probate and the administration of estates.  Over the years, we have built up a number of local and international contacts to be able to deal effectively with the Court and liaise with the financial institutions in the administration of an estate, collection, distribution and transfer of assets whether that is if you are local to the Isle of Man or abroad.
